There’s a well-known joke about a tourist in Ireland who asks one of the locals for directions to Dublin. The Irishman replies: ‘Well sir, if I were you, I wouldn’t start from here’. To us this feels exactly like the AI/data market at the moment. Monetising data, getting value from data - either intrinsic or extrinsic is still quite an endeavour both financial and capability-wise. We have the luxury of working with so many customers that talk to us about this: 

  • “How do I create a business case to invest in a data project without knowing the outcome I might achieve?”
  • “I don’t really know what data I have and where it is, let alone how to use it.”
    “How do I safely & securely explore the art of the possible without triggering a data breach?”
  • “I understand Copilot, but what about the rest of it….”
    “How do I get to grips with the technologies without just groping around in the dark?”
  • “How do I find a partner who is prepared to come with me on the journey?”
  • “How does a partner commercialise the engagement without being able to see into the future?”

You may have seen that we recently released an innovative new product called OnDemand:Azure. Specific to Azure, this product brings a modern interpretation of professional and managed service to our customers, to deliver the flexibility and agility you want from cloud engagements. 

So, over the next few months we will be tackling the puzzle of how this innovation can be taken to “data”. Enabling a confident skills-based approach to unlocking data & AI without having to read the future.
