Wavenet has achieved a Gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis, recognising the strength of its sustainability management system and commitment to responsible business practices.
EcoVadis is a global leader in business sustainability assessments, with more than 130,000 companies rated worldwide. Its assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
The Gold rating places Wavenet among the top 5% performing companies assessed by EcoVadis. This makes the achievement a significant milestone in Wavenet’s ongoing sustainability journey.
It also gives Wavenet a clear framework to benchmark performance, identify areas for further development and continue strengthening its approach to sustainability over time.
Commenting on the achievement, Damian Edwards, Head of Standards at Wavenet, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to have achieved EcoVadis Gold. It means a lot, as it validates and recognises the work taking place across the business to strengthen our sustainability practices.
“For our customers, partners and suppliers, it provides evidence and reassurance that we have robust processes in place to manage sustainability performance, reduce risk and drive continuous improvement across our operations and value chain. It also shows that we have been assessed against recognised sustainability criteria.
“I see this as a great achievement, but not the end goal. We will continue to use the EcoVadis assessment to challenge ourselves, build on our progress and make sure we keep meeting the standards our customers, colleagues, partners and suppliers expect from us.”
EcoVadis ratings are based on international sustainability standards, including the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, International Labour Organization conventions, Global Reporting Initiative standards and ISO 26000. The ratings provide an evidence-based analysis of sustainability performance, alongside a roadmap for continued improvement.
