5 a side football

We are thrilled to share that Wavenet has entered The Big Goal, a new Industry-wide national 5-a-side football tournament delivered by the acclaimed football-led charity, the Street Soccer Foundation. 

By taking part in the tournament, the Wavenet team will be able to support The Big Goal's vision of using the Global No.1 Sport and fuse it together with one of the largest Industry sectors in the UK to help tackle one of the largest social issues in the country: Youth Homelessness. To join in the event, we will organise a team of up to ten players, including five supporting members.  

 

The Big Goal National 5-A-Side football tournament will be played up in five regional finals across the country, these tournaments will be 1-day playing events taking place between February to April 2024 at prestigious footballing locations nationwide.  

 

Underpinning the football tournaments will be the knowledge that every team taking part has exclusively sponsored a group of vulnerable and homeless young people to help these young lives turn their fortunes around for the better. Changing lives through football… 

 

The regional tournament finalists will then be invited in the national finals in June 2024, to be played at the official and exclusive St George’s Park for the title of The Big Goal National Champions.
