The Challenge

With over 1,200 users and a large network of sites to connect, a reliable and robust connection is critical to Platform Housing Group's business functions. With large amounts of data transferred on a daily basis between these sites a high-speed network infrastructure capable of handling this traffic was required.

Previously Platform Housing Group relied on an MPLS/WAN solution. Whilst fit-for-purpose, the company began to become disillusioned with their previous supplier's poor support and rising costs.

As the company continued to grow and more sites needed to be connected it was time to find a solution that would fit Platform Housing Group now and support them better in the future.

The Solution

After speaking to Wavenet a solution was designed and provided that utilised some of their existing technologies but provided the modernisation and security upgrades that were required.

All sites were connected via a modern WAN solution providing the network resilience and connections that Platform Housing required. Alongside this, a centralised, state of the art firewall was installed to provide essential network security and prevent unapproved access to the business network 24/7.

An Internet Breakout solution was also provided, ensuring that connections remained fast and uninterrupted between sites by enabling Platform Housing Group to offload its multi-site traffic and route it directly via their ISP, giving them peace of mind that their Internet will be consistent and reliable.
