It’s official. Colocation is on the up!

Colocation is often mistaken as simply basic infrastructure, but it’s far more than that. It’s not just about housing equipment – it’s about building out reliable, scalable network infrastructure that supports performance and resilience.

There are lots of reported drivers for growth being forecast at somewhere near 15-20% CAGR between 2025 and 2030 – these range from enterprise demand for scalable cost-effective infrastructure to robust data sovereignty solutions. Plus, many facilities are now powered by 100% green energy. As you would imagine, we’re absolutely at the heart of this transformation in the market, adapting quickly to meet the evolving needs of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

The move to colocation is being accelerated by businesses of all sizes looking for a balance between control and flexibility. This growth is fuelled by rising data volumes, tightening regulatory requirements, and the shift away from on-premises infrastructure in favour of more agile hosting models.

From a technical perspective, customer demands are evolving at the same pace. With the need for lower latency, AI-ready infrastructure, enhanced resilience, and connectivity to cloud on-ramps, colocation is becoming the natural foundation for digital transformation.

For us, this has meant expanding both our technology solutions and service offerings to include not just racks and connectivity, but integrated services — from monitoring and security to compliance support and cross-platform orchestration.

Increased demand for edge computing and sustainability has also shaped our strategies. Our partners are continuing to invest in energy-efficient data centres and regional colocation sites to support low-latency applications and green IT goals.

There is always more to come from us as we continue to help customers to future proof their infrastructure and shape their next phase of IT. We’re working tirelessly to not only provide physical space and power, but to act as a strategic partner to help you, wherever you are on your journey.

If you have not followed us on social media yet, then do. We will be talking customer journey, engineering capability, colocation features and much more.
